Product Review: Dream Feet Exfoliating Foot Mask…#CommissionsEarned

I’ve been in the skincare business for over a decade now, and even before that I bought almost any skincare product that I could get my hands on. I’ve seen a lot of products and I like many of them, but it’s kind of rare for me to be really impressed with something. And you know what? The results I got from this Dream Feet Exfoliating Foot Mask have been beyond impressive.

If you’re missing your pedicures like I am (I have two kids, it’s hard to get away), and your feet are sad and in need of some love because they’ve got 2+ month’s worth of dead, dry skin on them, this exfoliating foot mask is something you want….no….need.

The idea is simple: This is a chemical peel for your feet. The main “peeling” ingredients that I can see in the ingredient deck are:

  • glycolic acid
  • lactic acid
  • salicylic acid
  • malic acid
  • enzymes (papaya)

How to use

Application is simple. First, take the foot mask booties filled with the treatment and cut off the tops. Then, insert clean feet. Pro tip: Don’t cut too far down–the booties won’t stay on if you do. You’ll end up having to tape them up so they stay – yes I did that.

Allow the masks to sit for 60 min. while you enjoy some me-time. Maybe apply a nice face mask while you wait, have a snack, and catch up on a show.

After 60 min. remove the masks and rinse your feet with cold water and that’s it. Within 5-7 days your feet will begin peeling. And depending on how long it takes all of that dead skin to shed, you will soon have smooth feet.

A few tips on what to expect when using the Dream Feet Exfoliating Foot Mask and how to help that shedding process along:

  • My feet started peeling about 7 days after I used the mask. It took so long I didn’t think anything was going to happen. Before they started peeling I had some instances of my skin feeling a little tight and even itchy. But that’s how a regular chemical peel for the face can feel before you start peeling so I knew that was normal. I resisted the urge to scratch and left my feet alone.
  • I also tried not to walk around barefoot too much. I made an effort to wear socks and slippers in the house, and my walking shoes when I went out.
  • A few days after I started peeling I used a very gentle sugar scrub on my feet. The scrub helped break up some of the dead skin that was just sitting there. I did not pick at my skin. Picking can cause tender skin to be exposed which can lead to some serious skin problems, possibly even infection, so don’t pick.
  • Once my feet started to peel I made it a point to soak them in warm water for 10-15 min a day then moisturize –  this keeps skin soft and can even help with the peeling process.

Dream Feet Exfoliating Foot Mask Contraindications

There are some reasons not to use this product. Don’t use it if you are diabetic or have open cuts or sores on your feet. I wouldn’t use this on cracked heels. And don’t use it if you’re allergic to any of the acids in it. Otherwise, use it and enjoy!

Where to Buy

This is a great treatment at a good price point that you can do for yourself at home. I miss pedicures and this isn’t a replacement for them, but having smooth pretty feet makes me ridiculously happy. And we all need to practice a bit of self-care when we can get it, right?
